We started two weeks ago, but it takes us about 3 weekends to plant our

In south AL we plant our plots the last week of september. We also have some wheat, oats, and a little rye.as well as turnips and collards and rape.

RE: Winter Wheat, Rye, Oats???
I planted winter wheat and oats on my plot about a month ago. They went without getting water for about 3-4 weeks, because we had a major dry spell.
But, it has rained for about 3 or 4 days now nonstop, and the plot is green and coming up great. If you're going to plant, I say...plant now. That way it'll be up and runnin by the time winter hits and the firearms seasons come around. Good luck! |
