Planting Persimmons and Scrub Oaks?
 
What time of year is best to plant persimmons and scrub oaks?

We usually plant ours in very very early spring or late fall because the summer heat here will wipe them out fast and we usually do it when we know its going to rain alot becuase them oak trees will die if they dont get enough

You normally plant bare root trees when they're dormant (no leaves) for the reasons given above. If the trees are potted you can plant them anytime but you've got to keep them watered. I was planting trees through July and August but I keep them wet and luckily it's been a cool wet summer.

Dopn't be afraid if you see the persimmons drop their leaves and look dead. They seem to play possum only to come back back to life the next year.
