Preparing pasture ground

Okay - I am getting ready for a fall crop of oats and clover and need to start a plot from scratch - The plot is currently in brome grass about 3 ft tall - Do i need to round up the plot first, mow, turn it under and round up again a week later before sowing the seed? Or should I just mow and turn under? Thanks

PS. Ph is great in this area so not much is needed - I will be adding some starter fertilizer also

RE: Preparing pasture ground

mow, do soil test, wait 2 weeks - spray glyphosate, wait 2 weeks.

Then heavy disc or plow, and seed your fall plot by Mid Sept for a general fall plot....

Its now very specific, but generally that is what you need to do. Do some "google searches" for "fall plot" deer hunting, etc - there is TONS of info out there.

like farm hunter says

but you could also try to no-till the plot once the brome has been killed or supressed
