Clover in the woods
I came across some clover in the woods the other day. I was wondering if any body knows what kind it would be. It has a white flower with 4 or 5 petals (not your normal clover type flower), grows low to the ground, it's in complete shade (no sun at all), have not seen this type of clover in any of our fields. Will try to get a picture next time I'm there. Also is there a site that has clover identification that I could look it up. Thanks

RE: Clover in the woods
I have not had much luck growing clover in the woods it needs sunlight, it could be oxalis which looks a lot like clover, wild lespedeza has a yellow flower, that purple clover is called scarlet clover, we used to grow it for hay, mixed with barley, cut early in the spring.

RE: Clover in the woods
RonM, thanks I'm pretty sure it's mountain woodsorrel. Now is it anything good for deer, like clovers would be.
