My plot is on its way!
I limed/fertilized about 5-6 acres to plant this spring. It was all ready. Last week I planted about 4 acres of clover and 2 acres of some seed blends that I was trying.
I also disced and planted oats in about 5 other acres. Those plots looked great, but I didn't have the time to raise the pH enough on them. BTW...my liming and fertilizing worked to a tee. The pH was up considerably (6.8) and the potassium content was back where it should be. Tons of hard work, but hopefully it'll pay off. |

RE: My plot is on its way!
This is the first year that I will try putting in a food/feeding plot and a couple of hunting plots. I live in NE pa, and have gotten the results from a soil test done at Mossyoak biologic labs. The ph is 5.3 Phosphorous(P) and Magnessium(Mg) are optimal, but Potassium (K) is low and Calcium(Ca) is medium. Orginally I planned on putting in Biologics premium perenial this spring, but not sure how well it will do based on the soil test. Any thoughts?
