rape seed
 
i just received some rape seed called bf canola. anyone know anything about this type of seed? is canola simlar to other types of rape such as dwarf essex or biologic nz variety?

canola is the same family - its a brassica like Dwarf Essex Rape, and another form of rapeseed. Its a more cultivated crop, its grown for Canola Oil of course - but also used as a protein source in feed pellets, etc.

Most people planting for deer have mixed results - it is not very palatable most of the year.
