Grass-specific herbicides

Just curious if anyone has experience using any of the grass-specific herbicides like Poast, Poast-plus, or Vantage? We're thinking of using them this year to control the grasses that pop thru the plots we plant. I have heard some great things about them, but does anyone have any experience with them or practical advice regarding their use?

All good. Vantage is Poast Plus, I believe...

Vantage and poast plus are basically the same thing. Vantage is just the Whitetail Institute's name branding for it. Poast Plus has an oil additive that helps it stick to the leaves better. Neither should hurt your plot but the plus may burn the plot a little easier before it bounces back.

I have never used either but did a lot of research before deciding to not use anything that said you should not allow grazing for so many days after spraying.

T3D,
I used Vantage last summer , It did a very good job on the grass, did not touch the weeds. My clover really came back in great shape, deer fed on it all winter. Vantage was $92 a gallon which covered 5 acres. Poast requires an additive, Vantage doesn't which influenced my choice.

Sgt, where did you get Vantage for $92.00 a gallon?

I thought that Vantage was a bradn specific to the Whitetai l Institute from Monsanto. Got more info or a number?

Anyone tried Select to remove grasses from clover? Just wondering if it is comparable to Poast.

Nevermind on the Select. It is not labeled for clover, only Alfalfa.
