The Imperial Whitetail Clover is about the best all around forage plant for deer, IF you have the soil for it. It will do best in a soil that has a heavier top soil of 8-12 inches in depth. It needs a soil pH of 6.5 or better. When we sold it we had some folks that disked, fertilized and planted in a sany area and it did great... Go figure!!! A soil sample will dictate what you may and may not plant. If you soil is more well drained you will want to consider some of the newer annuals that are intended for poorer soils and perennials that are deeper rooted. Good luck!!!
