Price of land?

Just curious what does land go for in your state/province. Im talking strictly hunting land(possibly some cattle grazing). I would prefer maybe top 3-4 counties for your state/province.
I ask, because I see the property next to the one we hunt is up for $115,000can. for 540 acres. Just wonder what it would go for elsewhere, has access, small hunt shack, 90% tree cover, possibly a mile of waterfrontage.

here in texas its varies to 200.00 all the way to 3000.00 i've seen it go, but for the most part hunting land about 600.00 i would say average for texas.

The Whitetail Deer is a beautiful animal treat it with respect, and you shall enjoy what mother nature brings you.

In Michigan the recreational land has 10 x the last 20 years. A 200 acre tract with a nice house was $30,000.00 or so depending now goes for $2000.00 to $3000.00 an acre PLUS the house... At one time in the lst 10 years the larger tracts would have a discount for each acre, now have a higher value for the more acrage.. A 500 acre tract that was $200,000.00 10 years ago is now $750,000.00 and up. If there is a small lake, 10 acre and up, it will bring $1,000,000.00 + .

Lots of timberland for sale in N.W. Fl now for around $1200 per acre. Now if you go down on the gulf I know of some 40 foot by 40 foot lots with a small two story house that are $2.2 million each.

80 acres on the Bruce peninsula with a barn, trailer, hydro, well, septic, pond, gravel driveway, on paved road for $45,000. Other places are cheaper or more expensive depending on buildings and access.

Amazing the difference in costs with only couple hundred km's seperating the area's we are talking about(Manitoulin island). I guess distance to drive when no Ferry is running is a major factor!
I cant believe all the property on that island that is for sale. When my buddy got on the island for the first time this year, he just about flipped his wig when he counted over 120 deer in a 35 minute ride to camp!

<font color=maroon>I handle ranch real estate in South Texas. There is a high-fenced 1200 ac. place for sale for $1000/ac. 100 ac tracts with water and all brush are going from $1000-1500/ac. This all depends upon the mineral situation too. The big places haven't been selling as well since 9-11. However, residential sales have been booming because of the low interest rates.

Land in this area of Pa. goes for about $3000.00 to $5000.00 an acre. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Land in my area has been selling as high as 10,000 to 30,000 an acre. But we do have a lot of celebrities moving in around us. We have had the same 2500 acre tract in this are for about 60 years and thank God for that. In Williamson Co.(Brentwood) it can sell for as high as 1,000,000 an acre. But there are also places here in TN that sell for a thousand an acre everyday.
