Question Northern Wisconsin Food Plots

A new Whitetail deer food plot up north. I'm going to put new ones in and expand elsewhere on our 40 acres this coming spring. Anyone know of a good cheap seed blend for deer & upland game birds. Besides the stuff at Cabela's? These 2 short videos are the plot seeded and then about a month later, pretty good growth. I'm going to til, add more lime, and put more effort into it this spring.

Your local feed & seed store probably has options that are more suited to your specific location, and also probably more economical.

A good source for information that not a lot of people use is the USDA-NRCS. They can often give you some good suggestions on what to plant, when to plant, and where to get it. And it is free. If you own the land, they might also offer some programs that might benefit you.
