My brother sent this to me and says the 4 years he has used it they have made a huge hole in the woods. My question is what does the Arm and hammer washing soap have to do with it? Brother didn't know just that the deer go crazy there.

Actually, it A&H Washing Soda, which is nothing more than Sodium Carbonate. It's probably used to lower the pH of the mixture as it has an alkalinizing property. When dissolved in water, sodium carbonate forms carbonic acid and sodium hydroxide. As a strong base, sodium hydroxide neutralizes gastric acid thereby acting as an antacid. It's also used in several food preparation processes.

I've posted the Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda and Salt Mixture on here several times....it works great and if You add the other ingredients like AllyYopper mentioned it will make it even better and will be more beneficial for the Deer!

For almost 4 decades now, I have done the similar with salt (NaCl), di-cal phosphate, (sometimes adding hi-cal dairy mix) and trace mineral. Deer love the stuff. Have never tried adding sodium carbonate. I'll give that a shot next off season.
