looking good after 3 weeks with very little rain, but more on the way for north central GA tonight..

oats and wheat mixed in the middle and turnips around the edges...

have 4 other plots with the same mix and small half ac that is all turnips..

I only planted half the field probably 2.5 ac. If the deer use the plot like I am hoping will plant the whole thing next year..[Maybe both fields]

looking at weather this morning it poured, supposed to rain most of the day off and on..

2.5 acres is a big plot.

We planted oats for many years with no freeze problems until last winter when all our oats plots froze out. Last fall i also planted plots of winter rye: The rye did well and matured. Our deer prefer the winter rye over wheat or oats.
