Anyone plant sunflowers for deer? If so any luck? Thanks

I don't know about deer but I've heard sunflowers are great door doves.

And Turkeys!! Although the "dwarf" varieties may be better than the tall ones. Problem is... the Jays and other birds hammer them pretty hard as soon as they begin to dry up on the seed head.

you can't plant enough seeds for the deer, whatever you plant they will eat, if you have a lot of deer then you had better have a large area to plant 15 to 20 acres or you are wasting your time

Sunflowers is my favorite flowers . I anyone plants sunflowers for dear then you should plant on a large area i think should be 15 to 20 acres . Sunflowers are usually 2-4 inches across and bright yellow and some people plants sunflowers at their home for decoration. Sunflowers can be use on marriages or cocktail parties .

Never seen the deer here show much interest in sun flowers. Corn and soy beans seem to be the planted forage of choice after the alfalfa. They seem to hit all the wild apple trees and grapes before they do sun flowers. Honey bees on the other hand really go for the sun flowers in their early stage of bloom.
