You can also try Kitty litter or, as it is called, Oil-Dry. Its weight may be nearer the same as the seeds. It is finely ground and kiln dried. We have 4 plants in our area.

If all else fails, sew the seed by hand.

Try white rice from the food store!!! works great and with the color it is real easy to see how well its spreading

I used kitty litter with my spreader. It worked fine. The clover came up uniformly all over the plot. Make sure you mix it real good before spreading.

I may be wrong here, but wouldn' t you run the risk of " burnin" the seeds if you mixed fertilizer with the seeds?

Anytime that I fertilize and seed my pasture, I' ve always spread the fertilizer first and then wait until it' s soaked in b/f I spread the seed. I thought if you mixed the two you would run the risk of burnin the seeds.?
