RE: Rape Question

It is a shade tollerant plant, however, how shaded is it. on my property in Michigan (similar climits) it doesnt last until winter, they eat it to the ground. you mite get a couple of plants the next year out of it but I definatly count on reseading it every year.

RE: Rape Question

I haven' t had any success here in western WI with rape until it freezes out, then the deer seem to utilize it. I am guessing there is too much other available forage until that point.

RE: Rape Question

Last year I tried it and the deer almost lived there. They loved it. Its very tall and thick so you have to look closely to see wear the stems are eaten off. You need to plant it each year, it doesn' t come back.....maybe 5 %. I would plant it and a couple other items, give them a smogasboard!!!!

Good Luck!
