If I burn do I still have to disk or drag?

What are you planting and how? Clover may be fine to spread on the ground after the cover is burnt, however other seeds (like wheat) may need to be cover. If you are no-tilling--no problems.

If you burn you really need to work some lime in. Atlest for an inch or two.
