Nothing in Michigan yet. Usually we require some colder weather to make the velvet itch...

Here in northern WI, we have seen several of the bigger bucks that are pretty polished already. They must be rubbing somewhere! The small 6' s, forks, and spikes are all still in full velvet.

Northern IL, saw only one area that was rubbed last weekend at the farm while we were hanging stands, I think I saw the deer that did it, tall racked 130s. He was polished. He' ll be good next year.

Just remember guys........deer don' t rub to get their velvet off. The velvet comes off by itself, soon after rubbing activities begin.

Good Luck!

Spent the week end in the central part of Michigan. Not one rub or pad. I did notice they started slowing down on the salt...

Have seen several 8' s and 2, 10 point bucks and all were very polished. Haven' t come across one rub yet. Maybe one of them found a scouring pad and is passing it around to the others. :D[&:]

I have seen 1 small rub. All the bucks in my photohunter pics are w/o velvet. Usually this area has several rubs, but not this year.

Have found 2 very disticntive rub lines on the farm, hunted the northern line Tuesday night, a 2 1/2 year old 10 and a smaller buck came through. As soon as I get something other than a Southern wind I am going to try the other line.

These lines just came abouts within this past week.

I haven' t seen any rubs here in northeast Oklahoma yet. Seems like the past few years there' s been some rubbing activity by the first day of bowseason (Oct 1). I wonder if the weather has something to do with it?

Shot a 10-point a week ago last sunday on a rub line, heading towards a corn field. Our first rubs appeared about the second or third week of Sept. Now the scrapes are really starting to show up, especially this week.
