Spent the week end in the central part of Michigan. Not one rub or pad. I did notice they started slowing down on the salt...

saw my first buck out of velvet 2 weeks ago and started finding rubs last week in southern michigan. ben seeing lots of does and a few bucks as of late. the beans are browning and the corn is drying so it wont be long now till season starts. i sure hope i get a crack at the monsters i watched all summer long in my plots.

Have seen several 8' s and 2, 10 point bucks and all were very polished. Haven' t come across one rub yet. Maybe one of them found a scouring pad and is passing it around to the others. [&:]

I have seen 1 small rub. All the bucks in my photohunter pics are w/o velvet. Usually this area has several rubs, but not this year.

Have found 2 very disticntive rub lines on the farm, hunted the northern line Tuesday night, a 2 1/2 year old 10 and a smaller buck came through. As soon as I get something other than a Southern wind I am going to try the other line.

These lines just came abouts within this past week.

I haven' t seen any rubs here in northeast Oklahoma yet. Seems like the past few years there' s been some rubbing activity by the first day of bowseason (Oct 1). I wonder if the weather has something to do with it?

Have seen several rubs where i hunt. I live in the upstate of S.C. By the way, opening day was yesterday for guns here and at a local deer processor where i do bussiness he had 137 deer checked in . Good day i' d say for a rainy day. Good hunting
