foodplot tractor

i will be using a 27hp tractor for a foodplot and skidding logs. Am I better off with ag tires or turf tires?

Go with the Ag tires. They give much better traction.

AG all the way !!

+1 ag..........

R1 (Ag tires) will provide a better bite no doubt. R4's have a thicker ply rating for punctures and are wider than R1 tires. Guessing you are purchasing this tractor new? If not, you can not just change between the R1 and R4 as they will need different size rims.

I have a 30hp John Deere front end assist with ag tires. It will suprise you how much work can be done with a small tractor

Indeed it will. My 28 horsepower four wheel drive McCormick tractor has no problem handling a six foot brushhog or six foot tandem disk. It came with loader tires.
