Antler King Trophy Clover

I already have an established 1/2 acre clover plot and would like to know if anyone else is having trouble finding 0-0-60 fert. I've checked every co-op and distributer I know. Antler King calls for this in the Spring on a plot that's established. Couldn't I just use potassium pound for pound or am I missing something?

The local co-ops bag 0-0-60 up here for ice melt, so it hasn't been hard to find. Potash (0-0-60 or KCl) is the fertilizer form of potassium. If you are truely desperate to find some, there are water softener salts are potash (usually advertised as no sodium salt). Potassium metal is highly flammable in water, so its not a good idea to use pure potassium.

Also Antler King makes a product called "JOLT". It is a fertilizer spray. I have used it on my 3 year old Trophy clover plot and it helped.

I got lucky one day I seen my local feed store have some 0-0-60 in the discount pile as the bag was ripped. For 5$ I couldnt go wrong.!

Good luck and keep us updated.

We use potash as it is readily available at the local fertilizer dealer. You should be OK using the potash (potassium chloride) as long as you are not planting a crop that is not tolerant of chlorine (tobacco being one)
