My first food plot.

Im building my first food plot I have cleared out the spot except for 3 big pine trees. I heard those would not have to come down for me to plant i could till around them. If I can't get a tiller, what could I do to plant the seeds in the ground? Its not a very big plot it is relatively small but it will work.... I hope.

hey i am having the same thought i was just thinking of taking my fourwheeler and dragging something behind it (gate with stones) or something. depending on the size of it you coulds just take a gardening rake and dig the dirt up like that. it will also depend on the seed! for me i can just scrach the dirt and plant some "WALK N TOSE" and it will grow fine hope this helps

What kind of pine trees? Is the ground under the tree get sun exposure? I would not till under the tree because it will tear up the roots and could kill the tree. The roots will be outside the edges of the tree by a few feet.

Clover can be just thrown on the ground and it will germinate if the ground is wet or it rains.
