We recently received a call from Dave Skinner of Covert Scouting Cameras regarding one of their farms. The farm was filled with does, but the mature bucks were few and far between. The Covert team wanted some tips on how make their property more attractive to big bucks. Erich gave Dave some ideas on how to manage their native vegetation, mature timber stands, and their food plots. Everything that can be done to enhance your property can be done inexpensively and with a little bit of time. It doesn't take a huge budget to make your property inviting to mature deer. Even if you have issues with neighbors around your property, this episode discusses some things you can do to minimize their effects. Often times people get dejected with neighbors shooting anything that walks, me included, but you can maximize the available cover and food on your property to limit the deer wandering across the property line.
