Game bird mix as food plot
last year I picked up a back of game bird mix off of Southern States. It was a mix of soy, sorghum, clover, and buckwheat. I mixed some corn into it before seeding.
I have a log landing that I seeded down with it last spring, the soil is poor and I did very little in prep work. The clover came in good and the soy and buckwheat is patchy, I have not seen any sorghum and the corn is weak due to the lack of good soil.
The deer and turkey have loved it so far and I even have a bear visiting the plot, and spooked a grouse out of it a few days ago.
