Protein Feeders
 

Theres a difference between feeding deer and baiting deer. If you want to feed deer they must be allowed (free choice) to eat as much as they want whenever they want. If you want bigger bodies and antlers baiting will not give you the results your looking for.

If you are serious about feeding protein here are some things to consider that may help you determine the size of protein feeder needed
to achieve the results we all desire.

(1) Do you know what your herd numbers are?
(a free range deer may eat 2lbs-4lbs of protein pellets daily depending on range conditions, and you will probably draw in more deer)

(2) How often can you fill them?
(an empty feeder does no good)

Summer and winter my deer herd eat about 750 lbs a week.
(25 deer daily average)
