Do Deer Eat Turnps in Winter?
We have a whole field planted in turnips which the deer hammered in the late summer and fall. Since about the end of November, they haven't paid it much mind. There are still tons of bulbs in the field. Are they just on browse this time of year? Or is it because the ground is frozen and they're too hard to get to?

The deer by me ate all of my turnip bulbs. They were digging through the new powdery snow to get them (before we got the 30 inches). Perhaps they have a more preferred food source available. If you have really deep snow or crusted snow, that could slow them down as well. I have seen them rip turnips out of frozen ground, that is not a problem.
