Food Plot Tillers
What is the best ATV disc on the market. I tried to built my own with a old disc but it didn't pan out so well. Also has anyone tried the Groundhog MAX? I actually posted this before but no one replied. Thanks, all the help is appreciated.

Hard to work the ground without the weight of a heavy disc. My 6' disc for my tractor has a hard time cutting the ground up. It is about 400lbs. Atv equiptment is a waste of money unless it is for a 1/4 acre plot.

I guess I should state that I have to travel about a mile and a half to get back to were I need to hunt and it's a very narrow trail. That's why I was asking if anyone had any luck with the Groundhog MAX.

The rear tyned ones are called cultivators, these normally have powered wheels in the middle, are very capable of ripping up a lawn or any thing in its way, if you are just turning the soil over then stick to the tiller but if you are doing a bit landscaping work then a cultivator is more your machine.
As for makes we run Cammon tillers and cultivators (model C8 &C10) from a company called Tracmaster,(www.tracmaster.co.uk) the machine its self is Italian but we have no problems and they are in and out continuusley, Husquavarner (i think thats how you spell it) make one but it isnt very good, as long as you get one with a Honda engine on it you are half way there. Good luck and have fun......... ************** colon cleanse products steroid alternatives |
I use a Mossy Oak Tuffline disc behind my atv. It is 60" wide and weighs around 465 LBS so need a bigger atv to pull it. I use it to disc about 2 acres and would not trade it for a tractor even though the area is big enough for a tractor. Back when I purchased it I had to disc the whole area which consisted of soddy weeds in black dirt. Each year since it has been easier.

I have the groundhog max - it def works but it isn't going to replace the tractor and plow anytime soon. I would def suggest spraying the plot with a couple doses of herbicide first and kill everything off. Will be much easier to till up with the groundhog
