spraying clover
What's the best spray to eliminate grasses in the clover plot while not harming the clover. I have a few patches of grass that I just can't seem to make go away. Also when would be the best time to spray, late spring/early summer?

Select get it at Southern States

Yup, any clethodim will work. Dont forget to get some crop oil if you dont already have it.

If it is a small area and you are spot spraying, bonide "Grass Beater" will work for you.

I recently sprayed gly on a field that had some white clover growing. Everything in that field quickly died, except the clover which is still green as can be. Rate was 1 1/2 qts per acre of 41% gly.

Arrow or Select are both clethodim.
Sethoxydim is more readily available in small quantities from your local hardware store. It's often called "grass-killer". The above 2 herbicides are generally marketed towards farmers (comes in a 1 gallon container, 6-12 ounces is enough for an acre). |
