Is it too late for Turnips and clover?

I usually plant my turnips around the 10th of August I live in soutwest Virginia. It has been so hot and dry here we have not had any measurable rain in 4 weeks. So I put off sowing my turnips and some clover. We are forcasted to have some rain showers today. I planted them yesterday Sept 21st. Do you think they will make or is it too late?

Might be a problem if cold weather comes and you get a few frosts. Keep your fingers crossed!!
