Default just got it in

hey guys. we just got our fall food plot in yesterday!! while we were in there we decided to brush in the good ol' double bull. we planted a clover mix and some turnips. problem is we dont have much rain in the forecast, but it pays to have firefighters as friends, if it doesnt rain by wedensday our buddy is going to bring the grass truck over and spray the plot down for us. my dad is going to cabelas to buy a couple new cameras this week and we are gonna put one out there. hopefully we get some pics.

heres a couple pics of the blind and what we are working with...

Happy Monday

Now if you can only build a pond or small watering hole. I made a few small (tennis court sized) watering holes with a 35 horse tractor with a boxblade and plow. It can be hit/miss though. If you don't have a good base of clay where you dig your hole, the water will just seep through.

yeah we dont have any clay, but i thought about buying a big hard plastic kiddy pool and digging a hole in the ground and putting it in with sand or rocks in the bottom. idk if it would work but it would be worth a try

What about using some thick plastic sheeting or other type of pond liner? I'd dig the hole, then add some rocks and gravel so that the deer hooves don't poke a hole in it.
