Lablab

Has anybody on here had any experience with Tecomate Lablab? I would like to know at what stage the deer started eating it, how long in the cold months it lasted in the food plots as well as how well the deer ate it.

RE: Lablab

I planted tecomate lablab plus in Febuary and the turkey ate 90% of it before it came up. I suggest planting right before a rain it will come up quickly that way. As for my lablab, I went over it with some tecomate chicory and it is about 6 inches tall now with a few peas here and there from the lablab. the deer seem to like the peas over the chicory but both are being eaten. I would suggest them the be planted together so when the winter comes you still have a plot. The lablab and peas are usually gone by the first frost. The deer will start eating it as soon as it comes up if you donot plant a large enough area the will eat it all before it is 2 inches tall.

Hope this helps, Gabe
