Where to buy beans ??
 

Looking to plant some beans next spring in Norhthern NY ,
Where is a good place to buy enough to plant 1/2 to 1 acre ??
I,m also going to replant some clover and turnips ..

Do you think TSC sells them?

I doubt TSC sells them, but someone at the store may know who does. Pioneer sells good seed, but they tend to be more expensive. http://www.pioneer.com/web/site/port...tte.cachetoken

Up here in Mid-west we get seed from Pheasants forever or other cons.organization, A lot cheaper, Round=Up ready County ext. are also good

Get ready to pay a lot more for round-up ready beans. Our local co-op guy says they're going to almost double this year. We got lucky and bought some leftover stuff for $9 a bag but it's supposed to go over $80 in the spring for the new stuff.

Is it soy beans they like ????

They love any kind of bean. Soybeans are easiest to get in large quantity, plus you can get round-up ready soybeans for easier weed control.

Not sure if www.doeblers.com delivers to NY but I am in central Pa and they are the ones I go through for corn and soybean seed. It advertises sales on their website for the NE and mid atlantic states.

I usually plant Antler King Honey Hole for the turnips and Antler King Trophy Clover for the chicory/clover plots. I had alot of good success with Antler King products, however their mineral blocks suck- turn to mush as soon as they get damp.
