RE: Too late for clover and Rape combo?

Personally, I would not want the rape to come back after the first year. It is a good nurse crop, it offers more shade than oats, or rye, and is especially good in a dry summer, or a summer with long times between heavy rains.

After the first year, clover fends for itself, and is a better plot by itself, in my mind, easier to maintain. The rape never got much attention on my plots from the deer, even in the fall when everyone said it would (after first hard frosts).
