like starting over 2 months before season

For those who have seen my clover/chickory plot in its second year...its all but eaten up. As far as my other plot of sweet corn, turnip, sweet beets and alfalfa, its almost done as well. Everyone of my corn stalks are bent, crushed, cobs half out of the shuck eaten, turnips dug up and beets and alfalfa are at ground level.

Im thiking about overseeding my clover soon with something that will survive the late summer early fall. The season has been a bleasing with all of the rain, so what would you guys suggest as to overseeding the clover, or just let it get mauled down to nothing? I have mowed it twice this year to keep weeds in check, but seems like the smell of fresh cut clover attracts them and they come out of the woodwork and graze it down to the ground.

What would be a good mix to throw in for a fall forage? Or should i not do anything and let the 3rd year of cover come back stronger next year.?
