fertilizer and lime
I have the results from my soil samples back from the lab. Is there a formula or some other way of figuring how much fertilizer and/or lime I need to add?

I apparently don't have all the info I need to fill out that form.

How big is your plot going to be?

Post what they sent you.
Is it something like N 60-80 units P2O5 100-120 units K20 80-100 units They are all a little different. Tell us what you got and we will try to read it for you. |

Here is one I'm doing that needs 1.1 tons of lime per acre and 60 units each of N, P2O5, and K20. 600 lbs of 10-10-10. (60 units/10%(.10)= 600). For 17-17-17 fertilizer 60/.17 or 17% would be 350/lbs acre.

Post the raw soil test numbers, and the crops you are considering. We can figure out a good plan with that information. IF you have the information, please post if pH is 1:1 water or another method. Also, if they list how they extracted the P and K (Mehlich III, Bray, Olsen, etc.) that would provide some more fine tuning of the results.
