Clover & Switchgrass In

Last weekend I was successful in getting the Whitetail Clover,Cave-In-Rock Switchgrass in the ground. I put in app. 4acres of clover with a 25 yds. strip of
switchgrass between last years sorghum. I also got in most of the trees, Question is where is the best place to plant Persimmon trees? I don' t know if they need to be in a open feild or if to plant them in the edge of woods or in the woods. What do you men know about this?

From my experience, the greatest production of fruit will be from trees planted in the open. They will simple have less competition for available resourses. If you want to hunt by them, be sure to keep that in mind while planting. Plant them in a logical spot where you can hunt over them and where deer will go to them during day light. Also keep in mind that you want to be able to sneak away undected after a hunt.
