best plot for sandy areas
I've got a spot in the river bottom for a food plot and need to know what will perform the best in sandier soils. I've tried a few things before there but never had anything to write home about come up in them. any ideas

RE: best plot for sandy areas
Pjhunts - We hunt in an area with sandy soil and for early season plots we have had better luck with alfalfa over red clover. For late season, sorghum has outperformed corn.
We also havea river passing through our area and the river bottoms can get really bad if they flood and leave a lot of sand behind. If that is what you are dealing with, it might be a little tougher to get something to grow there.
