Default Marshall rye grass?

I once read an interesting and favorable article about Marshal (Marshall?) rye grass. The article said to plant it with white clover.
Would that be Ladino clover and Marshall rye grass?
Help please, and thank you in advance!!

Default RE: Marshall rye grass?

I planted Marshall rye grass with a mix I purchased by mail of clovers and brassicas. It was on a point that juts out into our lake, about a quarter acre. Thought it would last 2-3 years. It did very well until a flock of Canada Geese found it. They denuded the plot in 2 nights. And the deer had just started to feed.
I let the site lay dormant last year to see if any would come back. No luck. This spring I went back in with clover only. I already had a couple geese check it out, but I discouraged them about sticking around. (Please don' t ask me how.) If I had put it anywhere else than by the lake it might have worked out OK.

The usual mix clover in our area is double cut red clover.
