2droptine; what is growing on the area that you' re going to plant? Have to done a soil test? How large is the area and what equipment do you have available? Those answers will help people steer you in the correct direction.

It is currently CRP, and we have a tractor and discs as well as a sprayer. The soil PH should be ok as we had to lime it for PH before the CRP was planted but we are goin to double check it. We are going to do 5 seperate 1 acre plots.

If you have 5 one acre areas to plant I would try using a broader assortment until you find what will work in your area best. Maybe down the side put in a strip of cereal grain or a strip of iron clay peas or soybeans. You may have good luck with Biologic (we didn' t), but I wouldn' t lock in to just it and clover.

2droptine, here is a link for a very good food plot book. It covers both tilled and no till plots.
