Rape

We're going to seed our fall annual plots tomorrow and we thought about adding some rape to the mix. Should that be added to the grain drill, or broadcast?

Well, we planted in the dust on Tuesday. Like everyone else in the North, we need rain badly. It was like walking on the moon....4" of powdery dirt.
It's supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow.......come on rain!!!!!

RE: Rape

We went over a month without a drop of rain and my clover/chickory has all but dried up and laying on the gound brown. I bought about 5 pounds of rape and overseeded the clover and it rained for two days straight after that. My plots are greener than ever now, thanks to theturnip greens sprouting. I hope the clover picks up for some fall foliage, although the second year is the best for clover.
