Summer Preparation

My brother and I went out last night to scout and begin to prepare our land in Southern Illinois for the upcoming season. I had a lot of overgrowth in a couple of clearings which I mowed down and we cleared away some brush.

my questions are:
- can i still put down some food plot seed this late in the year?
- what else should i be doing to prepare the land?

Thanks.

Yes, you have many options depending on what you want.

Not sure I understand the question. Prepare for what?

RE: Summer Preparation

I am thinking about putting down some AntlerKing product in a couple of different areas.

as far as what else i can do to prepare... I am wondering how much clearing i should be doing. I have a lower area of my land that is a river basin. With all the rain we have had, it got flooded but now has a lot of plants growing that are about 3 feet high. I am wondering if i should cut them down and put in a clover mix or something in that area. I just want to boost traffic.
