Battery Question

I just got a 6v spring top rechargeable battery for my also new feeder. The only kind of chargers that i could find for a 6v battery at BassPro had a + and a _ alligator clip on the ends. If i clip those on directly to the springs on the battery will it charge it? Thanks for any info!

You were correct timbercruiser. I took it back out tonight and it was throwing corn everywhere. Thanks for the info.
