What do you put into your feeder?
I always put in corn. I have gotten some impressive results during the colder months. What else could a guy use?

RE: What do you put into your feeder?
Use a corn protein mix and slowly take out the corn and start with the protein! Its cheaper ( or fixin to be) and its great for your deer.

You can buy a product around here called Purina Deer Chow. It's about $7 more per bag than corn but i have had great luck with it in the past. But nothing beets good ole corn. If you are interested in managing a strong and healthy herd i suggest what maglite said or going with a product like deer chow. Corn does not provide enough nutrition during the winter for whitetails.

I try to use a 50/50 blend of corn and whatever is available locally. The local seed co-op near my place in OH has the Purina as mentioned above. I've had good luck with a 50/50 mix of that and corn. I've also used feed in a camo bag called "Wildlife Feed" that has corn, sunflower seeds and one or two other ingredients with good results.

RE: What do you put into your feeder?
There probably not finding your corn zophy. I have never heard of a deer passing on corn. Every time that i put up a feeder or move one i always dump out a jug of apple Buck Jam. That always brings them in the first night. Then they discover the corn and keep coming back.
