How Low Do you Mow?

My clover is growing like crazy with all this rain. It really needs to be mowed, but my tractor is broke down. I was thinking about taking my riding lawn mower out. How low do you usually cut your clover? Also, the plot is getting some weeds in it. The plot is a mix of Whitetail Institute clover and Tecomante Clover and Chicory. If I sprayed the plot with WI's weed killer would that take out the Tecomante clover or kill everything but the WI and Tecomante products? Thanks

RE: How Low Do you Mow?

You want to mow clover approximately to six inches. You will get by with less with how much moisture you say you're getting.

RE: How Low Do you Mow?

generally not more than 1/3 of the total plant height, cutting more could slow growth, also not during times of stress
the spray would probably kill your chicory not sure about the clover
