Umm yeah I know that! What I ment was that the plot that he put the lime on came up much taller and had more deer activity.

I know you probably have enough replies already but the more info. we all get, the better off we all are. I hunt in Texas, so the climate is much like yours in OK. I plant iron/clay peas in spring, they will carry int late summer, then i re-plant some more peas but also add a mix of wheat,rye,oats,rape. they will come up at different time and provide a variety for deer. I had deer in my plot almost every day I hunted and as a group, we noticed that our plots kept the deer on our property for most of the year.
