Plot Saver
Anyone have any experience using either Plotsaver or Mossy Oak P2? I just moved to a location with tons of deer (I know- a good problem to have;)) but I just put in a garden and need to keep em out. Anyone got any home-made suggestions?
Thanks |
RE: Plot Saver
I bought the Plotsaver and put up around my 1acre food plot. I wanted to give it time to establish before the deer got into it. I used it for almost 2months. Not a deer ventured into it, no tracks at all in soil all around it. Took it down, mowed the plot, and deer got into it. So it worked fine.
But all it is, is aplastic package banding material type ribbon. Then you spray their repellent onto the ribbon. I often wondered if the ribbon alone moving around in the wind was enough to keep them away. Or purchasing a roll of bailing twine, andyour own deer repellent I've seen in stores would do the same as well. It seems like one those products that'd be simple to make yourself. Just convient to buy theirs, but cost ya more! |

BuckAlley,
Preciate the input. I went our local Southern States farm coop and they said that this certain fertilizer made from human excrement (I'm assuming it has been processed from sewer treatment plants) was very effective and you just spread itout around theperimeter and between rows. Have any of y'all heard anything about this? |
