food plot question

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice on food plots. I plan on making my first plot ever, a little half acre clover or clover/alfalfa mix to start out. The soil's ph level is good but any information/advice will be helpful..Thanks

Hey bud, check out the wildlife management forum, there was a similiar question asked not too long ago by mossbergman11 I believe it was and there are a lot of good responses as to what to plant, how to get started, etc.:)

Clover for the first timer is tough but do able. I would highly suggest to wait till fall to plant, as the weed pressure will be less and you will have better success with it. I know you want to hunt over it this fall so plant it with a nursey crop like wheat.
