RE: Food Plot Question??
many of your smaller seeds like clover can be broadcasted and raked in or frost seeded. The main thing is to get a soil sample and kill the weed competition.Check out qdma.com for lots of info

RE: Food Plot Question??
there are several products out there that are supposed to require very little work.."Throw and Grow"..."Secret Spot"...theyre supposed to require very little work, just a little cleaning out of an area...of course, the more work you put in the better results you can expect

RE: Food Plot Question??
I hunt in east tx., and have great success with iron/clay peas(cow peas). they are easy to plant, require little maintenance, and best of all the deer love them and the cows don't. they are almost 100% utilized by the deer only. They also have a fairly high protein content along with other nutrients. I used a 4w w/ a simple homemade drag to "open up" the soil, applied lime & fert. and let nature do the rest. good luck.

RE: Food Plot Question??
Turnups may be another simple product. It is usely whats in the throw and grow type products. But works best if you are in a colder climate, so they can turn in to sugars.
