Just curious, is clearing paths and establishing food plots on public land allowed in KS?

yes, answerguy, it is legal to do this on public land. not in public parks, but public hunting land, it is the same as clearing shooting lanes here. there is one stipulation though, you can't use any equipment like 4-wheelers, it is all done by hand.

In Michigan we're not even allowed to clear shooting lanes on public land.

kansas laws lets you do just about anything within reason. this year they are adopting a whole lot of new laws, they are all designed to help the hunter, now you just buy a deer tag and you shoot all seasons with the weapon of that season. if i read right they are doing away with the in-state hunters management units. baiting, shining (without a weapon in the vehicle) is all legal.

if i am correct a baiting law involves the use of anything from a food plot to pile of corn.
