plot options
 
ok i plan on making my own type of food plot!! i was wondering what types of crops to plant i was wanting somthin like clover n alphalpa also i heard that deer like beats but can anyone tell me if this is true or not!!!!

I'd look at the general area surrounding your property, and go with whats not alreadly available. If theres a field of clover nearby, why plant more clover, as a example.

good call i will have a hay field witch ahs clover n alfalpha but i wil be at least 500-600 yds. away from them field the clostest field will be a corn field about 350 yds away my plan is to acctualy set up behind teh usuall beding area in hope to get on top of teh bigger bucks rather then does n average sized bucks. also were i will be hunting no many IF any ppl no about the area!!! i will be hunting maost in an area w/ little pressure UNLIKE the rest of the farm

In my area most of the fields next to me are alf and alsite clover. I then put in turnips, rape, birdsfoot, kale, and RED clover. I find the deer go for the red more so than the alsite in my area.

After the first frost the turnipsgot hit hard as well as the birdsfoot. The Kale, clover and alfthey eat all summer
