Default Apple Trees

I am considering planting some apple trees on the property I hunt. Iwas wondering what kind of time frame it takes to start producing apples? Has anyone had success and with what kind of variety of trees? How do the trees need to be protected after planting?

Thanks in advance

Default RE: Apple Trees

It depends on the area that you hunt. As what is the weather like year round? If it is arid apple trees might not make it. Also consult a local biologist to find what would be the best apple tree for you. You always want to have a plant or tree for this matter to be as close to a native species as possible.
